TOKENS ft. Ghired

Description

Ghired vind ik een vrij zwakke commander, vooral omdat hij verplicht moet attacken en niet veel beschermende abilities hiervoor heeft, maar daarnaast ook nog vrij duur is voor 5 mana. Dit om hem heen gebouwde deck vind ik echter wel erg leuk. Het probleem is vooral dat ik relatief weinig goede tokenpoepers kan vinden voor een lage mana cost. Daarom is de mana curve ook wat hoger dan ik eigenlijk zou willen.
Het deck bevat o.a.:
- Kaarten die ervoor zorgen dat Ghired veilig aan kan vallen (Iroas, God of Victory, Dolmen Gate, Darksteel Plate, Whispersilk Cloak, Trailblazer's Boots, Reconnaissance)
- Kaarten die tokens maken zoals God-Eternal Oketra, Loyal Apprentice, Dragonmaster Outcast
- Kaarten waarmee je tokens kunt maken van non-token creatures, zoals Bramble Sovereign, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Feldon of the Third Path, Flameshadow Conjuring, Helm of the Host (en als ze maar voor een beurt geldig zijn, lost Ghired dit op met populate)
- Kaarten met populate zoals Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Wayfaring Temple, Growing Ranks, Song of the Worldsoul
- Kaarten die je extra veel tokens laten maken (Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives)
- Kaarten die extra sterk zijn als je veel creatures hebt, zoals Majestic Myriarch, Huatli, Radiant Champion, Garruk's Uprising, Cryptolith Rite
- Kaarten die al je creatures boosten zoals Ohran Frostfang (deathtouch) en Rhythm of the Wild (haste of riot)
- Kaarten die je helpen beschermen tegen je trage opkomst door de hoge mana curve, zoals Aura Shards, Warstorm Surge
- Sorceries en instants die te maken hebben met tokens of populate
- Een Eldrazi Monument omdat je toch elke beurt een token kunt maken met Ghired en die dan gewoon kunt sacrificen

Dragonmaster Outcast -> 1 5/5 red Dragon with Flying (each upkeep with six or more lands)
Elder Gargaroth -> 1 3/3 green Beast (when attacking or blocking)
Giant Adephage -> 1 7/7 green Giant Adephage copy (when dealing combat damage to player)
God-Eternal Oketra -> 1 4/4 black Zombie Warrior with Vigilance (each time you cast a creature)
Godsire -> 1 8/8 red/green/white Beast (when tapping)
Loyal Apprentice -> 1 1/1 colorless Thopter Artifact with Flying (each upkeep you control your commander)
Maja, Bretagard Protector -> 1 1/1 white Human Warrior (each landfall)
Quartzwood Crasher -> 1 X/X green Dinosaur Beast with Trample (each time creature with trample deals combat damage to player; X is amount of damage dealt)
Rampaging Baloths -> 1 4/4 green Beast (each landfall)
Rhys the Redeemed -> 1 1/1 green/white Elf Warrior (for mana)
Utvara Hellkite -> 1 6/6 red Dragon with Flying (each time a Dragon attacks)
Voice of Resurgence -> 1 X/X green/white Elemental (each time opponent casts an instant or Voice of Resurgence dies; X is number of creatures you control)
Wingmate Roc -> 1 3/4 white Bird with Flying (when entering, if you attacked that turn)
