Voordat ze Phage the Untouchable werd, was ze Jeska, Warrior Adept, de zus van Kamahl, Pit Fighter. Maar Braids, Cabal Minion heeft er met de Mirari voor gezorgd dat Jeska veranderde in Phage.

Balthor the Stout was de mentor van Kamahl, Pit Fighter. Balthor werd gedood door Ambassador Laquatus en gereanimate als Balthor the Defiled. Kamahl doodt uiteindelijk de Zombie Balthor en daarna ook Laquatus.

Kamahl, Pit Fighter is het eerste creature in Magic met zowel haste als een ability.
